The switch needs to be measured in degrees rather than rise, but it will shut off the pump when the desired water level has been reached. The switch can work on 12v dc and is compatible with the Dankoff Slow pump model 1308. It is safe for use in drinking water and comes with well-written installation instructions. However, wiring for 220v is not included, and it may not fit into a 4-inch PVC pipe but should work fine in larger tanks.
