Rated: NR Format: DVD Progressive Metal Editorial Review
The Iced Earth: Gettysburg DVD presents a combination of still and live shots, including re-enactors and actual photographs from the Civil War, telling the powerful and tragic story of the Battle of Gettysburg. The music is excellent and the lyrics are powerful. The DVD includes a tour of Gettysburg with insights from the band's lead vocalist John Schaffer, as well as the option to display lyrics during songs. The only downside is that the singing seems too quiet, but this can possibly be resolved by playing it through surround sound. Overall, Iced Earth stepped up to the plate and delivered a fantastic video about such a momentous event.
