Frage: What are the grit sizes of the two sides of the sharpening surface?

Antworten: The sharpening surface has a super fine 1200 grit side and a medium 400 grit side.

Antworten: This product can sharpen carbide, tool steel, titanium, ceramics, and most super hard materials.
Frage: Where is this product made?

Antworten: This product is proudly made in the USA.
Frage: Is this a monocrystine diamond electroplated to surface of a single sheet of steel?

Antworten: I do not know how the surface is manufactured. It is more like the surface of the stone is embedded with the diamond particles. It lasts for a long, long time, though. I have an earlier stone they made that I have been using for well over twenty years and it still does the job.
Frage: Does one use any light oil or water when sharpening a knife with this tool?

Antworten: No oil or water is necessary to sharpen a knife using this stone. I do occasionally rinse off stone before putting away.
Frage: What is the difference between the dd6f/c and the dd6sf/m (other than $$$)?

Antworten: The difference is the grit of the stone for sharpening. The dd6f/c is a 250 grit on one side and a 600 grit on the other. The lower number grit is rougher and will do a better job of creating a completely new edge. However, for fine sharpening you want a higher number grit (smoother) as that will help put a nice sharp edge on it. The dd6sf/m is 600 grit on one side and 1200 grit on the other. I am happy with the dd6sf/m because the 600 grit with the diamond dust embedded is rough enough for me to take off the metal I need to in order to get a new edge. Then I like the 1200 grit for making the edge nice and sharp.

Frage: Are the edges coated, and if so, are they square or rounded? (Rounded edges could be used to sharpen some serrated blades.)

Antworten: The edges are NOT coated and the metal plate that hosts the diamonds is quite thin - around 16th inch. These diamond laps are designed for sharpening on a flat surface only, either wet or dry. They are amazingly fast cutting and very long lasting. For the proper sharpening sequence for a dull tool or knife, 250, 400, 600 and 1,200 grit laps are all needed.
Frage: Why are there 2 sets of product dimensions, one saying 5 x 5 x 5, the other 6"x 2"?

Antworten: This cannot be correct. There is no possible way that the stone can be 5 inches long 5 inches wide and 5 inches deep. Perhaps the seller or manufacturer can help us understand this.

The Duo-Grit Sharpening Stone is an excellent tool for sharpening knives, pocket knives, chisels, and broadheads. The stone has diamond dust embedded in its surface and doesn't require any water or oil to sharpen knives. The product features a 440 grit and 1200 grit on either side, which is ideal for both creating a new edge and making the edge sharper. The stone is sold with an anti-slip pad that keeps the stone in place while it's being used for sharpening. The green plastic handles or wings are too thick and interfere with sharpening, though, but they can be grinded to resolve it. All in all, the product is a good purchase for its price-point.
