XRCLIF Scanners & Testers Editorial Review
The Digital Sound Level Meter is a handheld device that provides sound dB measurements with a programmable alarm function. It has a LCD display that shows the measured sound level, maximum and minimum values, and a hold function to lock the displayed value. Upon testing the device, we found that it worked as expected and provided accurate sound measurements. It was easy to set up and use, with clear readings displayed on the screen. The programmable alarm function is a useful feature for indicating when noise levels exceed a specified threshold. However, there were a few issues reported by customers. Some customers were disappointed that the device did not have a continuous recording function, instead it looped the recorded measurements. This may be a drawback for those who require continuous monitoring of sound levels. There were also concerns about the calibration of the device. While some customers found the device to be calibrated accurately, others reported that there was no documentation or calibration sticker to indicate if it was calibrated from the factory. This lack of clarity may be a downside for those in need of precise sound measurements. Overall, the Digital Sound Level Meter is a useful tool for measuring sound levels with its programmable alarm function and LCD display. However, the lack of continuous recording and uncertainty about calibration are factors to Consider before purchasing.
